Regarded as the industry’s first non-proprietary, open wireless control and interfacing standard, SuperSlot™ is the result of its collaboration with a number of leading wireless manufacturers including Wisycom. The standard allows for all powering and audio interconnection, plus control and monitoring between SuperSlot-compatible receivers and mixers.

Unlike other manufacturers, the powerful Shark DSP in Wisycom’s MCR42 allows the slot-in receiver to support SuperSlot™ without needing any modification. This same processing chip is what provides Wisycom equipment with such a wide switching bandwidth and practically no audio delay. The first application for new SuperSlot™ standard is with SoundDevices’ 688 mixer. All of the MCR42 control parameters are available via SuperSlot™ making control of the receivers from other devices possible.

[heading type=4]Powering and Wireless System for the Sound Devices 688 Field Mixer[/heading]
Sound Device’s SL-6 powering and wireless system simplifies interconnection between the 688 and multiple channels of Wisycom wireless by accepting three dual-channel slot-in receivers. The SL-6 offers all powering, audio interconnection and additional control and monitoring when used with SuperSlot-compatible receivers. The SL-6 easily attaches directly to the 688’s top panel and also offers antenna signal distribution to further declutter a sound mixer’s kit bag.

With its NP1 battery slot, USB charging port, two 12 V isolated outputs, and two non-isolated direct battery outputs, the SL-6 is also great powering hub for peripheral devices in a sound mixer’s bag.
